Treo Pro freezes everytime I receive a text

My treo pro freezes and the screen turns white everytime I receive a missed text, or If I am using the phone, when I try to send a reply. I have to reset the phone every time. I tried a hard reset, using the sprite backup to restore contacts. I have not added any other software.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I don't have such problem. Do you have a CDMA or GSM version? Perhaps a the phone is defective.

Sprint is CDMA right? Anyhow, since then, I had to take to a technician at the sprint store. Thus far, they got it right. A hard reset did not get it done.

There is I believe a patch from palm for the sprint treo pro that deals with text messages and errors caused by this check palm.com and/or sprint for this patch.
