    Question Treo Pro Vibrations

Does anyone know what the registry is to turn off all vibration with the Treo Pro? This is one thing I don't need. Thanks

Well, I am still a tad new to the Pro but if you go into Sounds---.Notifications--->Event, select the event you wish and uncheck the Vibrate with ringer switch ON box. I found a few of them set to vibrate with ringer on. Not sure why that was the default, but I unchecked them and voila no more vibrate...unless of course you move the ringer switch to Vib. Hope this helps.

Thanks for that reply but I should have been more clearer. I've already done what you have said but I'd like to find registry for turning off the vibration when the Pro turns on. To me it's an annoyance & a waste of battery.

Ah, so you are trying to turn off the momentary vibration the Pro does when it turns on for the first time? Since this device never really turns off, I am not certain I know what you are referring to. Could you describe it a little more? If it is during device initialization, then that could be a hardware setting and not something easily changed.

Sorry for the delay but yes - for an example when I do a soft reset &when the Pro restarts there is that momentary vibration, OK if it is hardware & non fixable I'll have to deal with it. I just don't like vibrating especially with my Pro. If I can't turn it off... well I thank you for your reply & help. Time to go learn something else.

hiow about settings> sounds and Notifications> uncheck enable sounds for events, warnings. I have that checked and my phone stays on vibrate most of the time during the week. Its either in my shirt pocket or my pants pocket so I can usually here and feel the buzz. If that does not cure it its in the rom I would guess and your sol unless you hack the registry and disable it that way. Probably not for the faint of heart or short of breath.

Thanks for that but I'm going into the registry & I'll put " around wherever I see vibration. Wish me luck:cool:, I'll let you know.
