I don't suppose that 'NOVA' will run any of the many Palm OS apps that I already have? If I have to spend another thousand dollars or so on software it will be much less attractive to me.
Cool maybe it will in fact come out on ATT in December like the ATT store here indicated.

Treo 700p (Sprint) 2GB SD card; Palm Centro (Sprint) 4GB Micro SD card
Software I like: 4cast, Autofile, Bejeweled2, CallRec, Destaller, EasyNotes, GoogHelper, GoogleMaps, HealthFile, PdaNet, PdaReach, RscBackup, SplashID, SplashShopper, Tryda.
There is no way to know yet. First we have to actually get something more than rumor and then see it released.
You have to wait and see, but Nova is based on the Linux kernel. What do you think?

Nova supposedly is/was being designed to run palm os programs currently on the market but how far back that compatibility will go remains unknown. As you are aware some older palm os programs dont run or run well on newer palm devices.
hi guys. There is program out there called Style Tap.It allows palm os applications to be used on the treo pro and gives it the palm os edge.Find the website on google or you can watch some demo clips on youtube.

www.styletap.com is the site, the application is often much more table than the Palm OS, it does not support the 5-way configuration.
Well, I have always used my devices as business devices; hence, if it costs a bit of money to achieve a goal, not a problem.
Yep, it does not support the 5-way; the developer is aware of it and has not had any dreams of providing support for it.
As for good, if you need it and an alternative does not exist in the other side, then $49 is not too bad a cost.
Good point, OldBen. So often I think just of the dollars. I have so often enjoyed the lots of freeware of all types on the good old Palm OS, but used my Treo 680 mainly for business also, but there were so many other spiffy freeware apps: ProfileMD was good for keeping track of blood pressure issues, names of generic medicines, etc. BestBuy for comparing so many cents per ounce for grocery store items. Backgammon, chess, checkers. Lots more of freeware....all gone, now that I have my Palm Treo Pro (running WM 6.1). Sigh. Guess I am too much of a Scot at heart to pay almost $50 for it. :gasp:
