Default Use the Treo Pro or 800w as just a pda

Hi I was wondering if I could use the Treo 800W or Treo Pro as just a pda, I am looking for a pda that also has Wi-Fi and I was wondering if I could use this and not have to have a voice and data plan to go along with it?
    Thanks

If you really don't want the phone, then I'd just go with a Tungsten and WiFi card. Why pay extra for phone you're not going to use?

Lightbulb WiFi useful in remote locations

Last week on vacation in remote northern Wisconsin I had some roaming coverage but more often no cell coverage. Even in small towns under 100 population I usually could find an open Wifi connection so I could check my e-mail. In Iron River, WI, population 1059, the library has Internet access, but is open only 6-8 hours a day, but their WiFi is on 24 hours a day so after a day of fishing, snowmobiling just pull up in their parking lot and get connected.
