Windows Mobile 6.1 and Syncing with Mac Programs?
Since the new Treo Pro is Windows 6.1 Mobile based, is it easily compatible with Apple's Mac OS 10.5 and related programs such as Address Book and iCal?
I currently use an unlocked Treo 680 and it seems woefully slow sometimes. I have over 1800 contacts and my address book hangs more and more frequently. I think I am due for a hardware upgrade, but am not thrilled about trying a move to Microsoft product. I do need unlocked GSM hardware for my purposes.
The Treo Pro hardware seems very nice. Too bad it's not Palm Software or the rumored next generation based on Linux. Anyone know anything that will happen soon?

The latest word from Plam is that nova will be done by around the end of 208 but the first devices will not be out until sometime in June 2009. Thats ben the party line for several months now. I dont have a pro yet and I dont use macs so I cant tell you whether wm 6.1 is compatible with mac os 10.5 or not I would suspect that it would be but cant confirm or deny.

I am a Mac User, Mac OS 10.5-leopard, I just got the treo pro. I can only say that I have tried syncing with Missing Sync For Windows Mobile , and I was successful with syncing using the usb.
I am still experimenting . You may need to buy or download Doc to Go to windows mobile as well. I was able to sync my contacts/calender/word documents with the missing sync with the USB connection.
It is early days yet, give it a go. I own treo 680(sync well with Palm Desk top); Centro-beautiful smartphone, functionally and syncs well with Palm Desk top too, but I got the Treo Pro for the sleek and form factor.
I am working on Getting my car bluetooth to pair with it. Any advice/
thanks
