Innerbackup has been working great for me. And it's free.

Resco, BackupMan then BackupBuddyVFS in that order as the best ones for backing up the treo.....

Resco explorer has many more features than the everyday run of the mill backup app.

Yes, but it is a huge memory hog!

I think BackupMan works very well. Also, BackupBuddy, RescoBackup, BackupPro, RescoExplorer (a file manager with backup features) are some popular ones. I think they all support backup to the SD card, which is extremely important should you encounter problems. Simply run the backup app from the card and restore the files and you're back up.

I've mentioned backup solutions in this posting on my Palm blog.

Freeware alternatives include: BackupLite, UniCMD (a file manager that has a backup utility), InnerBackup, CardBackup, VfsBackup, PowerGuardLite, RedFelineBackup, SmartBackup.

The website says you need 600kb free. I tried it today and it seems that it only takes up about 200kb. However, I could not get a full backup without my Treo resetting. Backupman works well for me.
