| Central, Butler, or ??? I'm currently doing a trial of Central, and I may try out Butler as well, since I've read a lot of good reviews for it. A feature of Central that Butler seems to lack is the ability to automagically turn on the phone after a reset. Then again, I like Butler's feature which allows keyboard shortcuts from anywhere. Is there another app which has both of these features, along with the "Bug me" feature that both have?

| Curious how you made out? Any opinions? Which app did you eventually choose?

I found some other apps that gave me the functionality of Central (primarily PowerUp). I can't see spending the money on either app if I can get the same functionality from a freeware app with no stability issues.
To be fair, I have not done a trial of Butler yet... I was curious if anyone had tried both prior to registering one of them...

| I've used Butler and it's great. I hadn't heard of Central before your post and it peaked my curiosity.

| I will probably try out Butler in the near future. Central had a lot of nice features, but also has its own annoying day-glo orange and yellow color scheme.
As I mentioned in my first post, one advantage Central had over Butler was the ability to automatically turn on the radio after a reset. Butler may have that feature, but I didn't see it in the feature list. Currently, I'm using PowerUp for that functionality.

Bought Butler not long after I got my Treo, based mostly on recommendations here in the forum. The "phone-on" feature would be great. I had that while I did my trial of Chatter. I have to admit, as someone who always used PPC's till recently, there are always more and more apps with more and more functions to be found for palm-based devices. I used to have app-envy but no more!

| Yeah, I've been playing with Palms almost since they were available. A lot of times, it's a matter of narrowing it down to the apps you really need without duplicating function...

| Central DOES have an automatic phone-on after reset feature. It's under Utilities, then click More Utilities. http://mytreo.net/store/product.php?xProd=396
I've tried both Butler and Central. My strong preference is for Central. Check the link above and decide for yourself.........

| I have tried both as well. I like the interface of Central much better, but it is missing one major thing for me. LED notification of missed calls, SMS, email etc. |
