Not sure if I have Java on my 700P or not. I don't see it in the preferences, but there are a few files on the device - J9 Java Launcher, J9MS , J9RMS , JavaVMCheck_enUS.
I downloaded a new Google maps and don't see the new Transit option, which needs Java. So - not sure if is installed and/or activated. Help.
Hey so I've been looking for J2ME for my treo and read threw the bulk of this. Does anyone happen to still have a zip file of it from before Palm stopped distributing it? If so please mail it to me at squraheem@aol.com. I can't use a couple of my apps w,o it. Is palm including new java software with the new centro?!? jw
Yet Another New Treo Owner Seeking Java Happiness :)
Hi All,
I just purchased a Treo 700p off ebay and I will be configuring it this weekend. If someone could send me the JVM files (or a link to them) that would be WONDERFUL!
Doing, though there are times GMail kicks this sorta stuff out. As for Java, good luck!

Once you install Java, go to the Palm's System "preferences" and there you will find the area to set the basic Java preferences. I generally recommend the max on everything except the cache - I use the middle value.
The file is available via Palm's site. If you cannot get it, PM with an email address and I will send it to you.
