Yes I love my Life Drive Mobile Manager (I am a PETC. We have to say the entire name. LOL)
There have been a few glitches along the way with resets, etc. But for the most part, I really like it. There are times when it takes a few seconds to load an app. But the fact that I have literal file folders, movies, etc on my device, plus bluetooth and WiFi, what is not to like. I have had it for about 6 months and wouldn't trade it for anything. I do a lot of Palm trainings, so I really wanted a Treo 650 Smartphone too.
In addition to all that stuff, I also own a Tungsten T and a Tungsten T5. Yeah, even the folks at Palm told me I drank too much Palm juice. lol

This URL is doing the rounds http://tinyurl.com/7t5mf. It is Palm's beta for the new Treo Edition version of Addit. It includes Reuters full news stories (not RSS) that can be wirelessly updated or updated whenever you hot sync. There is also a very basic free weather app. Apparently they are adding Maps, live sports, premium weather, Movies other fun stuff very soon.

Very cool and hopefully it will continue to be free! Not that I am cheap

All well & good, but I did not d/l the software or ask to install it - had no idea what it was! I was watching a hotsync operation & saw it go out to some server to fetch Addit to install on my *new* Treo phone.

I cannot locate the file(s) under applications on the phone, though I guess it displays as MyTreo. I have configured certain applications to check for updates, more than a little concerned that an application I never noticed before is doing it on its own.

You are correct - it is also known as My Treo. I use to use the application, but not any longer - reason - none, just lost interest in it.
