Default Palm's new Addit Treo Edition with news

This URL is doing the rounds http://tinyurl.com/7t5mf. It is Palm's beta for the new Treo Edition version of Addit. It includes Reuters full news stories (not RSS) that can be wirelessly updated or updated whenever you hot sync. There is also a very basic free weather app. Apparently they are adding Maps, live sports, premium weather, Movies other fun stuff very soon.

Very cool and hopefully it will continue to be free! Not that I am cheap

1.2MB! That's insane!
Are you able to run it from the memory card?

Just tested it. It'll move to the memory card, but it still leaves a healthy chunk behind in main memory.

Informative

Actually I have to say, I have discovered the coolest way to install aplications to your Treo. I just wirelessly downloaded Sudoku from Addit (tap the ad in the bottom of the screen with the news headlines and then tap the little blue icon). If you tap the 'Shopping' tab, they have a whole catalog of software in the shopping section. This makes it mind blowingly easy for people. Has anyone made a purchase through Addit?

A note on Sudoku, it should be avoided by people with an addictive personality.

Default InHand Instead!

I use Handango's InHand It's much smaller and they just updated it to include the ability to search for software.

Seriously LuLu, I just installed InHand and Piece of C*** is what comes to mind immediately.

Do you work for Handango? If you can even compare Palm's Addit application to Handango's InHand I think you must be here running another Agenda. Palm is supplying the complete Reuters news for free with Addit, something I used to pay for with Handmark's Express. They have a nice free weather application and the shopping experience on Addit is far superior to InHand. Palm is certainly doing something right here.

InHand is nothing more than a dodgy looking list of apps. Take your nonsense elsewhere LuLU!!!!

Please refrain from being rude. If you don't like it, its not for you. I don't work for Handango, but this forum is for people to share their experiences and that is exactly what I did.
Delete the application and move on.
Have a nice day

Default Addit is fairly cool

Hi I am new to this forum. I agree with LuLu. Let's not be rude. Everyone has their own opinion. I have used Addit on my LD for a while and it is farily cool. I may give the Handango app a try just to see which works better. The only problem with Addit is, for now, the limited amount od titles you can actually download into your device.
