The reason I use TakePhone is the ability to customize the device. I do use the default dialer on occasion. TakePhone integrates a number of different functions.

When Verizon does the Centro dance, you ought to look at it. I purchased one for my wife and she loves it. Very stable. Ben

There's no "magnifying glass" on treo 680 either. I'm desperate!!!!!. Cannot find contact names through the notes I attached them. It worked perfectly fine in my old palms, but my treo 680 (which is great, by the way) seems to miss this app. Any idea???????

    Hi:

Here is what the unlocked 680 manual has to say about search and they do mention the Shift/Find (Magnifying Glass) key (lower left under the Z and X keys) as my 650 has:
    Using Find
The Find feature locates any text in the
    built-in applications and databases and
in some third-party applications. The Find
feature searches for the group of
    characters you specify, including characters
that are part of a word. Find is not
    case-sensitive.
    1
Press Option , and then press Shift/
    Find
to open the Find dialog box.

    2
Enter the text you want to find.

    3
Select OK to start the search.

    4
In the search results, select the text you
    want to review, or select
    Find More to
    continue the search.

Are you outside the US? The manual did mention different layouts depending on the country. Who is your carrier? Do you have a printed manual or CD version and what does it have to say?
