    yup.

    New contact

    last name: FIT CLUB
    first name
    picture
    company
    title
    work
    home
    mobile 0785534654 (carriage return)
    0876235412 (carriage return)
    0987423456 (carriage return)
    0877643567 (carriage return)
    email

then in sms, Lookup in Contacts FIT CLUB, it'll just show the 1st of the numbers but select and ALL are then entered in the sms.

(carriage return) is the enter/down left key

seems to work for me, hope it does for you?

ffolliet - have you tested how many numbers you can put under one Contact listing? Did you use this INSTEAD of using GroupTextMessaging by just selecting the contact in regular Text, or did you use the multi-Contact along WITH GTM?

Thanks! Either way this is pretty cool.

Bummer. Doesn't work for me on my 650 that is flashed over to Cricket. I need to send to a list of about 20 people, so I put 22 numbers into the contact record as you explained....

When I hit "send", the message seems to be being sent to the last number on the list and then errors.

Nice try... but how disappointing that this couldn't be a good work-around.

    sorry for not responding earlier.

i haven't tested the numbers but as SallyT is maybe finding out, there may be a limit to the size. testing costs me money! (no free txts)

to be honest i haven't needed to send to more than three or four at one time so can only confirm that that works. the free group messager also works for that number too.

I don't know where you're located, but Sprint has an unlimited text message package for $15 a month for the first line, $7.50 for additional lines on the same account. I have 3 phones on Sprint for my business... but I personally try to stay off of them!

I spend my day on a Treo that has been flashed over to Cricket. $52 (taxes and all) include unlimited minutes, unlimited texts, and all the long distance you can burn.

That $52 a month has saved me thousands over the past 3 years ... and now that I've got the Treo working on that service, it's been a much better experience.

Is there a program for the treo 755p that will allow me to type a text message longer that 160 characters? I know it sends it as two separate messages but still as of now my treo keeps beeping when i reach it and doesn't let me type anymore.

    1) How can you set-up a group e-mail i.e. 2 or more e-mail, txt recipients for a single message?
    2) I have the same problem, 160 characters and it stops? I thought it was to keep going and then divide up into seperate 160 character messages?

have you read this thread? if you mean an SMS, then it's spelt out, repeatedly above. if you mean email, then simply add more email addresses

this is a service provider issue. some (such as my own; Orange) it simply lets you write as long as you want.

NO program can over-ride the 160 character limit. that's what makes it a SHORT message service (SMS)

Thank You, and YES I have read this thread, did you READ my question?
    1) I would like to have a single contact "group" that I can select to send an e-mail to multiple addresses. Forgive me if I was not clear enough, or perhaps I am asking the same question and I do not understand that the answer was in a previous quote. Can I set-up a "contact" with multiple e-mail addresses, like 5-10-50 ? Will selecting this "one" contact send my e-mail to all of them?
    Thanks
