    Is there a way to delete contacts from the treo and not the desktop?

    Sure there is - do it! and then make sure you set the conduict to "DO NOTHING" or whatever language it uses - it if is set to Device overwrites Desktop then the desktop gets over written; if it is set to Desktop overwrites Device then the device file gets overwritten. Ben
