any news on new treos for the verizon network? i currently use the the 700w and switching all my home pcs to mac os. i know the the 700w will work but i want to get rid of all my windows stuff (years of frustration!). ill be able to get my upgrade soon but want to wait until verizon drops a new palm os treo. does anyone have any inside news?

No news, but it's feasible Verizon will pick up the Treo 755p launched by Sprint this week. Last year, both Sprint and Verizon released the Treo 700p in the same timeframe.

BTW, congrats on moving from the darkside. I understand you desire to remove all things Gates from your life, but it is easy enough to get your new Mac talking to your Treo 700w. Missing Sync for Windows Mobile works great.

There is always that "other phone" that's making a quiet release next month.:tounge:

i would love to get that phone but i actually work for the land line side of verizon and would miss that nice discount i get off my bill every month. after looking into macs i was sad when i read verizon turned down the iphone. since i work for the brother company i understand how they do business. if they cant nickel and dime the customer off a product they won't get it...
