    Default Data Plans?

Can anyone tell me if Verizon offers a variety of data plans? I've only ever seen the pay by kB and unlimited for $45 listed on the website. Are there other options or am I looking at the wrong things?

There are really 2 data packages:

10 MB per billing period for $24.99 per billing perdiod

    Unlimited for $44.99

10 MB for $24.99? That doesn't seem like it would last too long. I suppose it depends on what it's used for, though.

I know this is an old thread already, but just adding my .02, since I just went through this the other day with Verizon.

There are three data plans offered
    1) pay-as-you-go. the rater per KB of data usage is .015 cents/KB
    2) 10MB data usage for 24.99 per month
    3) unlimited data usage for 44.99 per month.

    [prices current as of 4/3/07]

Of course after doing some math, I discovered that the 2000KB i used in 3 days was already costing me $30.00, so I found the unlimited to be more cost-efficient (IMHO). 10MB roughly is 10,000KB, so if you are gonna use the treo for e-mail, web, even GPS (or in my case Google Maps), you suck up KBs pretty quickly.

Again, sorry if it's redundant, but perhaps someone might find it interesting.

Unlimited's the way to go. You'd think however, that for $45.00 a month, they'd include text messages:angry:

    Default Data Plan Discounts

Don't forget to check and see if you are entitled to a discount based on your employer. I work for a fortune 500 company and get a discount of 20% on my personal data plan, making the unlimited only $36 per month.

I agree, paying 45 a month on top of your regular plan they should include text messaging with the data plan! I also work for a Fortune 500 company and I only get an 8% discount :frown:
