Email solutions for Verizon Mac users
I am a Mac user and a Verizon subscriber, which can be a challenge at times. The Treo is Mac-friendly, but Verizon often is not.
Verizon's Wireless Sync requires a PC (correct me if I'm wrong), and it seems to me that the Verizon Treo does not ship with Versamail (again, am I wrong here?).
I will not be checking office e-mail, but I do want to grab my .mac mail, and mail from my University's IMAP server, and perhaps another POP3 address.
Does anyone have any suggestions for good email clients?
Thanks for your opinions.

Use Versamail on Palm CD
Versamail came on the Palm CD that I received in the box with my Treo. I'm on Verizon and love the way I can check email with Versamail. Very easy to setup.

Thaks for your reply.
I'm confused. Although I thought I installed what was in the Versamail folder: MMUupgrade.prc, I don't see Versamail in my applications. I just see "Mail" and "Wireless Sync".
Does Versamail run on its own without Verizon's Wireless Sync application?

Yes, Versamail runs on its own. I do not use Verizon's Wireless Sync app. I'm on a Mac and just installed the Versamail app off the Palm CD that came with my Treo. Works great. Versamail is a Palmone app I believe, so you can probably call Palm's tech support if you need help.

Re: Versamail & Snapper
Excellent! Thanks for the recommendation on Snapper. That's very helpful.
As for my problem with finding Versamail: well, I finally found it. Yes, it was on the PalmOne CD, but it was not so intuitive to get to (e.g. the PalmOne software did not help me find it through the Add-ons folder). I read somewhere that I would be presented with the option of selecting add-on applications to install, and that wasn't the case with me. I found it in the "English: Essential Software" folder on the CD, not in the "Palm:Add-on" folder on my hard drive. Sheesh. To think I've been using a macintosh for twenty years and these issues still trip me up. Simply annoying.
Now things are running smoothly. Versamail works - and in that respect its nice to know my expensive little friend is doing exactly what I hoped it would.
On to Snapper.
Cheers.
