Question Should I buy my treo online or in store?

I am a Verizon customer and I'm eligible for the "New Every Two" discount. My 2 contract will expire today or tomorrow and I'm hoping to get a new Treo this time around (ditching the Moto Q).

Would it be cheaper to purchase it online or at a Verizon store? Online, I can get $100 discount and $150 mail-in rebate.... bringing the price of the 700p to $199.99, is there a way I can use my New Every Two credit online in addition to these, or does the $150 replace that?

I bought mine on-line (they weren't going to be in my local stores for about two weeks at the time). I simply took the online discounts vice the E2Y discount, they were more $$ - I didn't research if you could do all three (on line, mail in and E2Y)

On line through the carrier is what I normally do. Though twice I walked in to a Sprint store to purchase. Ben

Purchasing online is really fast and easy. I bought my previous phone online. If you order before 12pm you get FREE next day shipping. I ordered mine at 11am on 7/28/07 and it came at 9am on 7/29/07! That is the way I would go, however, the treo I have now I bought through eBay.

Hi Folks, New Member here.

I just purchased my Treo on Ebay. I would suggest doing some Due Diligence and researching before buying on Ebay.

The first phone I got was in Mint condition but locked and the screen was cracked during shipment ( poor packaging).
They sent a replacement that had dings and dents, but it works.

Adding up all the expenses of the original price, plus return shipping and having to buy a case. I probably would have better off using the 2yr upgrade option with Verizon. But at least I don't have the 2yr contract to worry about.

I bought mine at a local dealer after my contract ran out. When all was said and done, I got a Treo 700p for $99 when I renewed for 2 years, which I would have done anyway. That deal was better than purchasing online. Doesn't hurt to check.

Cheers.
