How can Cingular offer a brand new 650 for $229 and VZ still offer the old 600 for $299 (before $50 mail-in rebate)?!?

It's actually only $199 for the Treo 600 through Verizon. Still high, considering you can get a Treo 600 with Cingular for $79.99.

People trust Verizon service -- and will pay the premium for Verizon. :confused:

does verizon offer any discounts for the 650? I'm willing to pay there price I guess, But i want to find it less expensive

They'll offer it cheaper for a new customer, but us existing ones have to pay the retail price with no discounts. One option is to get one off Ebay or something but just be careful cause you get what you pay for! Plus there are no warranties for anything bought from Ebay and when you are paying $200+ for a phone, you want the warranty!! Good luck hunting, let me know if you find something cheaper for Verizon!!
