Default Verizon treo 650 pix msg problem

I have pay by the kb on my Treo. Since I dont want to use the internet, I set up a fake network so it couldnt connect. I got the fake network setup and everything, but when someone tried to send me a pix msg it locked my phone up... I reset it and it went right back to "Network Search", it would not connect back to Verizon..I tried everything and it still wouldnt connect, so once again I had to reactivate my razor..however, a friend told me to take out the battery and then push the reset button..I had tried taking the battery out and I had tried pushing the reset button, but I hadnt tried to do both together..Even though my Treo isnt activated, I came home and thought Id try it just to see what happened, and OF COURSE, it connected to Verizon right off the bat, no problem...So before I go through the process of reactivating my Treo AGAIN, does it make a difference taking out the battery and pushing reset, or is my phone just bizarre????

I think that often people refer to removing the battery or pressing the reset button as pretty much the same because the result is pretty much the same...a soft reset. Some people like to remove the battery and others prefer to leave the battery intact and use the stylus to push the button.

They are not really separate ways to do two different things. Do one or the other. You also have to remove the battery cover to do either.

You should check the Palm site and look for a full explanation of all of the different types of resets and when to use each.
