Palm’s Jon Rubinstein and Elevation Partners Roger McNamee took the stage today at The Wall Street Journal’s D: All Things Digital Conference. McNamee if you recall had made a few quotes regarding the Palm Pre that required Palm issuing a press release to clarify his statements. Safe to say that McNamee gets excited when talking about the Pre. Before their Pre demo and discussion with Walt Mossberg and Kara Swisher, a pre-taped video made light of the situation.
There were several demonstrations of the Palm Pre in action that included syncing the Pre with iTunes, browsing the App Catalog and Amazon’s MP3 Store.
Palm’s Rubinstein reiterated that the Pre is just the first of many webOS devices to come, commenting that they have a roadmap that goes out years. As previously reported, a GSM version will come later this year.
