Skype indicated today that they do not have any plans to develop a webOS compatible app for the Palm Pre. The company did not shut the door completely. "We want to see how that device sells," COO Scott Durchslag told reporters. "If [the Pre] takes off, it’s something we’ll consider."
Skype just recently announced an application for Apple’s iPhone, but early reviews have been decidedly mixed, with many users reporting crashes. While third party developers could fill the void by creating a webOS app compatible with the Skype network, company representatives indicated that third party apps often do not produce the same call quality.
