Treo 700p First Look

Both Verizon and Sprint have started shipping the newest smartphone from Palm. Here's our first look as we unbox the Treo 700p.

The Verizon Treo 700p comes in the same box as the 700w.

Verizon suggests that you "Read This First". This is basically a Quick Start Guide for the 700p. The 700p comes with a Verizon Welcome CD, Palm Software CD, Quick Reference Guide and the Read Me First or Quick Start Guide.

Removing the CD's and manuals reveals the Treo 700p and battery.

The Verizon Treo 700p ships with the following:

• Palm Treo 700p smartphone
• Palm Software Install CD
• Travel Charger
• USB Sync Cable
• Wired Headset
• Quick Start Guide (refered to as Read Me First
• Quick Reference Guide
• Verizon Welcome CD

Here's a photo of the top of the Treo 700p. It supports secure digital cards up to 2GB. According to Palm, they are testing compatibility with 4GB cards.

The new Palm OS Treo has the same buttons, but notice you have dedicated Call/Hang-up buttons.
