Palm OS Platform Gains Momentum in the Java Mobile Market

Java Technology for Palm OS(R) Garnet, a WebSphere(TM) Everyplace Micro Environment (WEME) Java(TM) 2 Micro Edition
(J2ME) certified runtime environment, for the Treo(TM) 650 smartphone and Tungsten(TM) T5 handheld from palmOne, Inc.
IBM’s WebSphere Everyplace Micro Environment (WEME) Java 2 Micro Edition (J2ME) certified runtime environment provides
the technology needed to enable standards-based mobile Java applications to run on Palm Powered(TM) smart mobile devices.

WEME is currently available for the Treo 600 smartphone, the Tungsten family of products, as well as the Zire(TM) 72 handheld
from palmOne, and the addition of the Treo 650 smartphone and the Tungsten T5 extends that compatibility to palmOne’s latest products.
