Palm webOS Now HP webOS?

A subtle yet major change seems to have occurred with respect to the branding of webOS. According to a page on Palm’s developer site (that has since been removed), it’s now known as HP webOS, an obvious departure from the familiar Palm webOS. It’s unclear how HP will brand future smartphones. Given their plans to implement webOS on a variety of connected products, this move makes sense.

Will the next phone be a Palm phone running webOS by HP?  Was this page simply a graphic design mistake?

  1. as little of a change as it is I think they should leave it PALM web os. I effin hate the name hp. It makes me think of their old printers, which alaways gave me dickhead problems
