With the shareholder vote of the Palm sale to HP approved earlier today, we are now learning of more Palm employees leaving before the buyout is complete. MobileCrunch is reporting that Lynn Fox, Palm’s Vice President of Public Relations, left the company earlier this week. Fox was another former Apple employee who joined Rubinstein at Palm. It’s unclear at this point where Fox is headed, but her Facebook page indicates here current employer as “Consult Until-I-Find-Another-Job-Consulting, LTD”. The description reads:
I respectfully declined the opportunity to join HP after its acquisition of Palm, so am looking for my next career adventure.
Being Palm’s head of PR, it should come as no surprise that Fox had been an ardent supporter of webOS. While we’re sure the next person in the employ of HP will be just as supportive, it will be hard to replace the passion exhibited by Fox during her tenure at Palm. We certainly wish Lynn the best in all her future ventures.
