Sprint will be the exclusive wireless partner for the launch of the Palm Pre. Sprint has a long history with Palm, most notably the launch of the Palm Treo 300, one of the more successful Palm devices in history. With AT&T selling the iPhone and Verizon selling the BlackBerry Storm, the relationship with Sprint makes plenty of sense. Both Palm and Sprint have a vested interest in making the Palm Pre a success.
Sprint has begun taking email addresses and will notify customers when the Palm Pre is available for pre-order.
Neither Palm nor Sprint would comment on the length of exclusivity, but we expect it to be roughly 6 months.
