Sprint Treo 700wx
The Sprint Treo 700wx is expected to be released in the early fall and could be released by August 31st. The Treo 700wx is expected to similar to the Treo 700w, but will offer expanded memory. The CDMA based Treo will run the Microsoft Windows Mobile operating system and will most likely utilize similar hardware as it’s predecessory, the Palm Treo 700w. Verizon released the Treo 700w in January of 2006 and the carrier had a six month exclusive which expired in July.
Palm Treo 700wx
No official word from Palm on the specifications of the 700wx, but based on the 700w we expect the new smart phone to have the following features and specifications:
- Intel XScale 312MHz processor
- 800/1900MHz nationwide digital phone
- Bluetooth 1.2 wireless support
- 1.3 megapixel digital camera with 1280×1024 resolution
- 2.5mm headset jack is stereo headset compatiblerequires a stereo headset adapter
- Windows Media Player 10 included on CD-ROM
- Polyphonic MIDI, MP3, WAV and video ringtones
- External ringer on/off switch w/ vibrate mode
- Full QWERTY key layout with backlighting
- Integrated number dial pad
- Support for MultiMediaCard, SD and SDIO cards
- Removable, rechargeable lithium-ion battery
- Talk time: up to 4.7 hours
- Standby time: up to 15 days
- Multi-connector on device
While the Sprint Treo 700wx will undoubtedly feature an increase in memory, there has been no confirmation
on specifications. It’s possible, though unlikely, that the 700wx will feature an updated display from the 240×240
display found on the 700w.
