A few weeks back we reported that longtime Palm Treo user Howard Stern was in the market for a new smartphone. Capitalizing on the opportunity, Palm’s VP of Public Relations called the Stern "Wrap Up Show" to recommend the Pre. This is just a continuation of Palm’s budget-friendly grassroots marketing efforts of late that included a Pre appearance on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.
Stern discussed his need for a new phone today, but said he’s considering either an iPhone or a BlackBerry. No mention of the Pre. He went on to say that he planned on making a decision in the next two weeks. Conspiracy theorist might say that Howard is keeping mum about an eventual Pre coming his way. A loyal Palm user, one must ask why Howard would jump ship now or is he?
