Outside of “this summer”, we don’t have a firm release date for the HP Touchpad. Rumors of June continue to perculate and now it appears that Best Buy is preparing for the launch. A splash page, complete with specs and introduction video is now readily accessible on their site. Still no way to buy yet, but one would think it’s got to be coming soon. Soon as in the next few weeks?

Verizon has been very aggressive with their BOGO plans, but that’s not so great for those looking for just one phone (and one 2-year contract). It appears we’ve got our first price drop on the Verizon Palm Pre Plus, available now through Best Buy for $99.99. The Palm Pixi Plus has also seen a major price drop and is available for the price of free.
As with all Best Buy deals, you won’t have to deal with any pesky mail-in rebates. Sound good? We thought so.
Best Buy in Canada has dropped the price on the Palm Pre to $149.99 with a new 3-year agreement. Bell, the exclusive carrier in Canada, launched the Palm Pre on August 27th at a price of $199.99. While the new Best Buy price is the same as pricing in the US, it might draw the ire of early adopters who have seen a price drop less than a month after the release.
Bell has not changed their pricing. So if you’re up north and looking to pick up a Palm Pre, Best Buy is your best bet.
It appears that Best Buy has yet another stealth sale on the Palm Pre. Reports have new customers able to purchase the Palm Pre for $199.99 minus a $50 instant rebate, for a net of $149.99. This is the best deal we’ve seen since the $99 pricing mistake.

According to a report from BGR, the Palm Treo Pro appears to be headed to the shelves of Best Buy on October 26th. Expect the price to fall in line with the $549 pricing found at Palm, but you now have the convenience of shopping for Palm’s latest Treo at your local Best Buy. As a reminder, the Treo Pro arriving at Best Buy is unlocked and can be used on any GSM carrier. Still awaiting word from Palm on which US carrier who will carry the Treo Pro.
