Palm webOS 2.1 Getting Pushed Today?

According to a few reports, Palm has started to push webOS 2.1 to some devices. The update is far from being widespread, but it’s been seen on the Sprint Pre, a Palm Pre 2 and a Rogers Palm Pre 2.  No update here on an AT&T Palm Pre Plus, but that doesn’t leave us not hoping for some pre-event goodness.

Palm Pre 2 Headed to Rogers

When Palm announced the Pre 2, they mentioned it was coming to Canada, but did not provide any carrier information. MobileSyrup (via Worldwide Gadget) has photos of the new Palm Pre 2 packaging and it’s clear the new Pre 2 is headed to Rogers. The new packaging also includes the new HP palm logo. Fancy! Obviously, packaging would indicate we are passed pre-production units. The rumored release date is November 9th, which dovetails nicely with our rumored November 11th US release date.

Rogers To Release Treo Pro In Canada

There are rumors that Rogers will pick up the Palm Treo Pro in Canada, with a release coming on September 17th. Rogers has been picking up steam of late releasing the iPhone 3G and just last week the BlackBerry Bold . When Palm introduced the Treo Pro last week, they confirmed availability through European carriers O2 and Vodafone, with unlocked versions being available in the US. No word yet on pricing, but Rogers has had a history of being heavy handed with their plans.
