Treo 650 WiFi
There is a Treo 650 WiFi solution. Although the Treo 650 does not support WiFi
out of the box, there are alternatives. Enfora makes a WiFi sled that actually attaches
to the Treo 650. With the Efora WiFi Adapter, you can access Wi-Fi hotspots to access the Internet. There was talk of Palm
supporting the WiFi through the Treo 650 using the secure digital expansion slot, but this does not appear likely. Many have
speculated that Palm is reluctant to support WiFi for fear it would affect the revenues of wireless providers who are looking
to sell data packages.
Treo 650 WiFi Sled
Installation of the WiFi sled is easy. Enfora ships the product with WiFi management software and a quick set-up CD. The Enfora sled is compatible with email and Internet browsing when used with Treo 650 phones locked to Cingular, Verizon, T-Mobile and Unlocked GSM models. Web browsing is not compatible with Sprint Treo 650 smartphones.
