Chalk this one up as a rumor, but word is that Best Buy will have an exclusive on the Palm Pre. Of course, you’ll still be able to purchase the Palm Pre from any Sprint retail store, but having Best Buy as the exclusive will not hurt distribution. With Circuit City filing bankruptcy, Best Buy is by far the one consumer electronics retailer. This will also allow the Palm Pre to go head to head with the iPhone for the hearts, minds and ultimately wallets of consumers.
