Palm Adds Six New Apps To App Catalog

Palm today added six new applications to their App Catalog. A quick trip to Palm’s App Catalog tonight will reveal the following new apps:

6-apps

  • Word Ace: Game which combines the betting and strategy of Texas Hold’em and the mental challenge of a word game.
  • Mileage Monitor: Helps keep track of fuel efficiency for your vehicles.
  • Bubbles!: Puzzle game whereby you find connected regions of bubbles of the same color and pop them.
  • ESPN Zoom: Photo hunt game featuring great sports photos and ESPN sports themed music.
  • Kosher2Go: Provides access to over 2700 kosher establishments over 50 countries.
  • Shabbat Shalom: Allows you check times for Shabbos/Holiday candle lighting.

While it’s certainly a step in the right direction, we’re still wondering why it’s been a slow road to get apps approved. There are no shortage of apps being developed, so why the delay in getting them in the App Catalog? Sure there is homebrew, but shouldn’t installing apps be as easy as “bing, bing, bing”?
