Thanks to Sprint’s partnership with the NFL, one of the first apps available for the Palm Pre was NFL Mobile. Not only does it offer news, but you can also stream the NFL network, get the latest scores and more. If you happen to be a DirecTV Sunday Ticket subscriber, then today’s release of DirecTV NFL Mobile is pure app nirvana.
It goes well beyond tracking scores. DirecTV NFL Mobile for the Palm Pre will allow you to stream NFL games on your Palm Pre. In addition, you’ll have access the NFL’s new RedZone channel. Sunday Ticket is no small expense, but you’ll be happy to hear the app is free.
We hate to be greedy, but any chance the MLB would like to bring their AT Bat app in time for the playoffs.
It is the absolute best. This coupled with the Sports calendar application (homebrew app) is awesome!
I’d *kill* for the NHL version, but I suppose that’s not possible since Verizon has their (crappy) NHL package, and I bet there’s some exclusivity deal.
If this brings in more people to the Pre then i guess I can put up with these stupid sport apps.
DirecTV has agreements with NFL (Sunday Ticket), NBA (League Pass), MLB (Extra Innings), NHL (Center Ice), NCAA (ESPN Full Court/Mega March Madness), NASCAR (Hot Pass), MLS (Direct Kick), etc.
So, I **HOPE** that for DirecTV customers who have one or more of the DirecTV sport subscriptions that the NFL Sunday Ticket app will be the first of many that will be available on the Pre.
