Sure we are excited about the Palm Pre and the revolutionary webOS, but the critics have also spoken. The Consumer Electronics Show features thousands of new products and each year CNET awards the best of the bunch. There are category awards and then there is Best In Show Award. Palm swept the awards, winning Best Cellphone/Smartphone, People’s Choice and the coveted Best In Show.
Of course, this is just the beginning, as we suspect more awards are on the way once the Palm Pre hits the streets. As a reminder, the Palm Pre will be available on Sprint Wireless in the first half of 2009. Ed Colligan, CEO of Palm, reminded CES attendees that the company is working hard at getting the Pre released sooner than later.
