Palm had released a number of software updates that affect both Palm OS and Windows Mobile Treo smartphones.

  • Daylight Savings Time Update: Palm devices, both smartphones and handhelds, need to be updated so that they reflect the correct time when the new DST changes take effect. Without the Daylight Saving Time Updates, calendar events and email messages will indicate an hour off the actual time in locations that observe DST. This affects all Treo smartphones (Treo 750, Treo 700w/wx, Treo 700p, Treo 680, Treo 650, Treo 600, Treo 300, Treo 270).
  • Outlook 2007 Update for Palm OS Devices: If you use Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 on Windows XP or Windows Vista, you’ll need this update to perform HotSync operations with Outlook’s Calendar, Contacts, Tasks and Notes, as well as optional non-wireless Email sync. Windows Vista and Treo

For those who have updated or considering updating to Windows Vista, Palm has set up a Windows Vista information page offering up to date compatibility information for both Palm OS and Windows Mobile Treo owners.
