Palm Treo 700p Maintenance Release Due Next Week

Palm has confirmed the long awaited maintenance release for the Treo 700p is on schedule for release next week.

The release is expected to fix a number of issues that have plagued some Treo 700p owners including:

• Bluetooth improvements
• Improvements to SMS send and receive
• MP3 playback
• Phone app launch speed

Palm’s new Treo 755p already incorporates fixes that are in the forthcoming Treo 700p maintenance release. In our Treo 755p review, we did not experience any lag issues or problems with Bluetooth connectivity.
