Not only does it offer news, but you can also stream the NFL network, get the latest scores and more. If you happen to be a DirecTV Sunday Ticket subscriber, then today’s release of DirecTV NFL Mobile is pure app nirvana.

It goes well beyond tracking scores. DirecTV NFL Mobile for the Palm Pre will allow you to stream NFL games on your Palm Pre. In addition, you’ll have access the NFL’s new RedZone channel. Sunday Ticket is no small expense, but you’ll be happy to hear the app is free.

We hate to be greedy, but any chance the MLB would like to bring their AT Bat app in time for the playoffs.
