Treo 700p Sales Begin

Palm has begun taking Palm Treo 700p pre-orders for both Verizon Wireless and Sprint. According to their site, shipments will begin on May 28th for Sprint customers.
Last week, Sprint announced they the Palm Treo 700p would be available by the end of May. In a suprise move, Verizon Wireless has started selling the 700p on their site. The site lists the 700p as shipping in 2-5 business days. Last week, Verizon Wireless announced pricing and plans for the Palm Treo 700p and expected it to be available in the “next few weeks”. Local Verizon Wireless Stores do not currently have the 700p in stock, so the online store might be getting the jump on Palm, Sprint and their own wireless stores.
