According to one developer at XDA, they’ve managed to hack webOS to work on the HTC Hero. The developer hasn’t posted any screen shots, but has promised to post instructions “after school“. Oh those crazy kids. This should be interesting, but why not something more exciting like an EVO or EPIC 4G?
Wonder how they compensated for the lack of gesture area? There’s a trackball on the phone, so in theory they could map up right left down to some basic gestures. I think it even clicks, so it could be used for gesture + tap.
Still a terrible device. It’s so dated, makes the Pre look futuristic. Physical buttons for placing and ending phone calls? hahahahaha.
maybe that’s the only phone he had…
